Elevators Part II

Made some good progress over the last couple weeks. I improved my bending brake by running it through a planar, which yielded some much cleaner bends on the trailing edges. The brake got the bend about 90% there and then I found using two blocks and a pair of channel locks to finish up the bend worked pretty well. I did the bend the checked the fitment with the spar and ribs attached a couple times before I sealed everything up. Then, I put RTV in the trailing edges and riveted everything together! There were a couple areas that I thought I could squeeze, but ended up having to buck. There were also some tight areas near the trailing edge which required some improvising, which I’ll put in the next post.
