Electric Bike
I designed and built this bike from scratch and outfitted it with many custom and aftermarket components to make it a fast, fun, and efficient commuting tool. To make the project successful, I learned to TIG weld aluminum and how to cut tubes to fit together nicely into a bike frame. After finishing the bike and running it though many tests, the bike is capable of 40+ MPH, 2000 Watts of continuous power, and motor braking with regenerative braking. In addition, it is outfitted with front and rear hydraulic disk brakes, a 7 speed gear system, bright LED headlights and taillights, lockout front suspension, and a telemetry screen to display speed, motor status, and battery condition.
I ended up using this bike to commute to class almost every day for 2 years. I also used it to deliver food for UberEats for about a year, which was faster and more efficient than any other delivery vehicle out there. The bike currently has over 1500 miles on it and still runs great.
